Pirate Invaders for the ZX81 16K
It's the 1700's - You are the Captain of a sailing ship which is constantly being overrun by pirates. Your job is to shoot as many pirates as possible with your cannons - you can only fire one shot at once, and level by level the pirates speed up as they get more belligerent. If they reach the bottom they board your ship and you lose a life. Watch out for the shark which is worth 10 points. Pirates are each worth 1 point and you have to have a "head shot" to kill them.
Future versions may include extra features such as a "boss level" every so many. and also give pirates ability to shoot back.

Install instructions
1) Download the pivaders.p file
2) Install a zx81 emulator such as EightyOne https://sourceforge.net/projects/eightyone-sinclair-emulator/
3) Set the memory size to 16k
4) Open the .p file in the emulator and play
5) The keys are "o" move left, "p" move right. space bar to fir a cannon ball!!!
If you want it possible to convert the pivaders.p file to an audio file(google it) so you can load into a real zx81, or if you have a ZXpand you can just drop it on the sd card.

version 0.6.0 now has simple shark bonus animation frames
0.5.6 allows pirates to go 2 rows lower so more chance to shoot down. Also you get a new life at 1000 points
new version has improved gameplay - better hit of targets
added a boss level and slowed down the game a bit to make it more playable (and less frustrating)
also fixed the high score bug (where it sometimes didn't save the highscore
